The power of women - bamisepeters

Women are obviously important and should be treated as such. For every man, the respect for women is the
beginning of success.
"Women are by far the deeper and more powerful of the two sexes. No matter how strong a man thinks he is, he is like butter in the hands of a woman that he loves. It is only a woman that can carry a child for nine months and raise that child to adulthood and yet until the day that woman dies, only she will know the real father of that child.

Women are more discerning than men, more calculating, more thoughtful, more spiritual, more loyal, and more disciplined and they can handle emotional pain and
psychological torture far better than men.

A woman can suffer trauma, deprivation, shame, sheer cruelty and beatings from a man and still stay with him simply for the sake of the children. A woman can do anything and take anything for a man that she truly loves."(1)
The power of women is irrepressible, unbeatable, unfathomable, unimaginable, unbelievable and most times unpredictable!

The success story of most great men in our society today, is as a result of the influence of a certain good woman they have as wife. The most amazing fact about most of this women that influenced the success of their man is that you will not observe their influence not until
it is visible through the success of the man.
Truly, behind the story of a successful man there is a
very super-active woman who is ready to go any mile to ensure the growth of the success of the FAITHFUL man.
No woman/lady should think less of herself because powers to succeed lies greatly in you, be it on yourself or your man.
A woman/lady is a potential mother and murderer at the same time. These two words requires a huge
understanding of its use by any lady/woman. The difference between these two words is so large, of which a man will himself choose the one he desires from a woman through his characters.

A mother can go any mile to see her child succeed no matter how bad the child may be. No matter how hidden a man can be his deepest secret is known by his woman which she can hurt him with once she smells foul play(murderer).
In this article, we shall see some of the powerful characters of woman to man, women who have achieved
greatly and also who have worked to ensure that the success of their man is attained.

POWERFUL CHARACTERS WITH         EXAMPLES

Women feeds ambition & drive

Women enjoy men who are fueled with ambition, drive and dedication.. Hillary saw something special in Bill
Clinton when the two met at Yale Law School.
She shared the vision he had for himself, and provided a sounding board for his ideas and actions in all of his Many  campaigns. All too often, our ambition consumes us, and leads to hasty decisions. An intelligent spouse can help refine and focus that drive.

She offers solid support

A great wife is there to listen to you and help you deal with issues. She offers emotional support which makes you feel better about yourself. It's well known that Laura Bush single-handedly persuaded her husband, George W. Bush, to lay off the bottle when he was in his early 40s.
By being an emotional rock when her husband needed it the most, Laura helped Bush get back on his feet.

Dame Patience Jonathan has remained a pillar of sorts to the President of Nigeria Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. She was in the thick and thin of the
presidential campaigns. She criss-crossed all parts of the country, wooing the electorate for her husband. In fact she remains the first woman to set up parallel campaign team for her husband in the history of democracy in the country. She has also remained very visible as First Lady. Unarguably, she is one of the greatest power brokers around Jonathan. Many who want patronage from government go through her. With her matrimonial bond to the President, she is said to have not only helped Jonathan at the home front, but also influenced some government decisions,especially appointments.(2)
All other wives go to campaign grounds with their husbands but Patience has her own separated structure.

She allows you to take risks

People who avoid risk rarely become successful. By providing a stable personal life and encouraging your
vision, a supportive spouse can give you the confidence to take the risks necessary to reach the next stage in
your professional life.

She gives life perspective

A loving spouse helps you to see what's really important in life. Bill Gates had become the richest man in the world before marrying Melinda, but some argue that it was Melinda's influence that convinced Gates to spend billions on world health issues.

The bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has been endowed with close to $29 billion to solve global health and education crises.(3)

Here are the names of some powerful women across the world, they are not all from a rich background but have influenced their background with their fame.

The first most influential woman i will mention is Oprah Winfrey.

Oprah’s rise to fame and fortune started in high school, when she started working as a part-time
news radio anchor. From there she moved on to local TV news, then to a morning talk show, which launched directly into The Oprah Winfrey Show. Though her show started out in the typical tabloid style, in the 90s it began to take on its own identity, including now famous book reviews, human interest stories, women’s health, gift giving, and psychological/spiritual themes. Her show has also been noted for many celebrity guests, whom she typically interviews in an intimate, friendly style.

Indra Nooyi is another strong and powerful woman in the world. As the CEO of PepsiCo, the world’s 4th largest food and beverage company, Indra Nooyi has won back-to-back listings as a “World’s Most Powerful Woman”. She was instrumental in the establishment of Yum! Brands, which now operates Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut, Long John
Silver’s, and A&W Restaurants. Yum! Brands is currently listed as a Fortune 500 company and is the world’s largest fast food corporation.
Indra Nooyi started working for PepsiCo in 1994, and became the company’s president and CFO in 2001. Five years later, she was named the company’s CEO, and has
been credited with revitalizing the company. Since she started working as CEO, PepsiCo’s revenues have
increased by over 70%. Impressively, under Nooyi’s leadership PepsiCo surpassed Coca-Cola in market value for the first time in history.
If it can be said of anyone, it can be said of Indra Nooyi that she has made business skills.
But not only has she improved PepsiCo’s profits margins, she has also implemented business practices that encourage the production of healthier foods and has sought to make the production of the company’s goods more eco-friendly. She has also presided over PepsiCo’s introduction into more foreign markets, which has led to job production in those countries.
Improving business, creating jobs, making healthier foods, and having less impact on the environment -– it’s all in a day’s work for one of the most powerful businesswomen in the world.(4)

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is another powerful woman. She is a globally renowned Nigerian economist best known for her two terms as Finance Minister of Nigeria (her current position) and for her work at the World Bank, including several years as one of its Managing Directors (October 2007 – July 2011).

She briefly held the position of Foreign Minister of Nigeria in 2006. Okonjo-Iweala was key to developing the reform programs that helped stabilize Nigeria's economy and improve governmental transparency.(5)

Ada Osakwe is one of the youngest powerful women, Advisor to the Honorable Minister Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Nigeria. Nigeria’s agricultural sector has attracted more than $4 billion in private sector investment commitments over the last year, and Ada Osakwe is an integral reason why.
Osakwe, 34, currently serves as the Senior Investment Adviser to Nigerian Minister of Agriculture Akinwunmi Adesina – arguably the best-performing member of President Goodluck Jonathan’s kitchen cabinet. She works directly with the minister, advising him on his policies regarding private sector investments into the food and agriculture sector.
Osakwe also interacts with current and prospective agribusiness investors and champions innovative approaches to channel sustainable private sector engagements in the sector. Previously, she served as Vice President of Kuramo Capital, a New York-based investment
management firm. She also worked in various capacities at the African Development Bank.(6)

The list is endless.

Women have not only influenced themselves because they are not known to be selfish. They spread their influence on men which on the other way round makes the man a strong force to reckon with. Ada Osakwe is one of the women in this category, she didn't influence
her man but a man in the helms of affair when it comes to Nigeria Agricultural sector , thereby, influencing Nigeria as a whole.
Who says woman cannot be made president of a country because of power intoxication?
Women has been made head of state in different countries around the world.

Vigdís Finnbogadóttir is the first elected female President in the world.
in Iceland, she returned without opposition in 1984, in an election in 1988 and again without opposition in 1992. She stepped down in 1996.
She was elected President on 29 June 1980.

President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf of Liberia is another woman-president who helped to rejuvenate Liberia to the world.

President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner of Argentina,
President Dalia Grybauskaite of Lithuania, Brazil President Dilma Rousseff, Kosovo President Atifete
Jahjaga, South Korea President Park Geun-hye and so on are examples of elected women-president around the
world, they made significant steps in ensuring the growth of their nations. Who now says a woman cannot
lead a nation?

Let's give them a chance and see the great impact they will make in our economy. Let's forget about the past mistakes committed by them and hope for a better future in them.

In conclusion, women shouldn't be overlooked be it small or big because the powers that lies within them is capable of demolishing a country. For any family, organization, nation to reach the top, the power, ability, capability of a woman should not be undermined, overlooked or neglected.
